  • Biography

    Chevelle Wilson is a business analyst II in the community and economic development (CED) group of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Her role involves supporting the group's vice president and conducting administrative and operational functions for the team. She joined the Atlanta Fed in 2010 after serving for nearly eight years as manager of member services for the Georgia Economic Developers Association (GEDA), where she oversaw its daily operations, including member services, communications, financial management, and event management. Additionally, Wilson was responsible for the planning and logistics of GEDA programs, meetings, conferences, and activities. Prior to her time at GEDA, she worked for the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce and has also held various marketing and account management positions.

    Wilson participates in several voluntary programs at the Atlanta Fed, including the tour ambassador program, in which she conducts guided tours for school and community groups. She is a reading mentor with the Everybody Wins Power Lunch program for elementary students, and a member of the Bank's volunteer advisory committee and Toastmasters club.

    She holds a bachelor's degree in speech communication with emphasis in public relations from Valdosta State University. Wilson completed the conference and meeting management certificate program at the University of Georgia and was in the inaugural metro Atlanta class for the Georgia Academy for Economic Development. In January 2009, she earned the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, which is administered by the Convention Industry Council. A native of Macon, Georgia, Wilson's interests include music, fitness, reading, writing, and community service. She and her husband, Gus, reside in Lithonia, Georgia, and have one son, Xavier.
