Timothy P. Cost has served as president of Jacksonville University since 2013. Founded in 1934, Jacksonville University offers more than 70 majors and programs including degrees in business, marine science, engineering, physics, and nursing, as well as more contemporary and specialized fields including aviation, communication sciences and disorders, film, animation, and sports business.

Before joining Jacksonville University, Mr. Cost served as executive vice president of global corporate affairs for PepsiCo Inc., from 2010 to 2013, and chairman of global health care and executive vice president at APCO Worldwide Inc. in 2010. From 2008 to 2010, he served as senior vice president of corporate affairs at Wyeth. He also held senior-level positions at Kodak, Aramark Corporation, Pharmacia, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Centocor/Johnson & Johnson.

Mr. Cost is a member of the board of directors of the Jacksonville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and is the former chair of the board of the Jacksonville Civic Council and the JAXUSA Partnership. He is a member of the boards of directors of the ASUN Presidents Council, Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital, Guidewell Mutual Holding Corporation, the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, THE PLAYERS Council, and the Florida Council of 100.

He received his MBA from the University of Rochester in 1990 and his BA from Jacksonville University in 1981. He was inducted into the Florida Council on Economic Education Business Hall of Fame in 2015 and was awarded Jacksonville University's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006. In addition, he was named "Ultimate CEO" by the Jacksonville Business Journal and one of Florida's Most Influential Business Leaders by Florida Trend in 2019 and 2020.
