Gregory A. Haile has served as president of Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, since July 2018. Broward College is a public college, founded in 1960. The institution is centered by its mission to transform lives by providing an equitable opportunity to higher education. Broward College serves 60,000 students and employs over 4,000 people. Broward is part of the Florida College System and was named a Top Ten finalist for the prestigious Aspen Prize for the years 2013, 2017, 2019, and 2021.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Haile served as the college's general counsel and vice president for public policy and government affairs.
Mr. Haile is a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Broward Workshop, BBX Capital, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Pace Center for Girls, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, and the United Way of Broward County. He is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee and the inaugural class of the Aspen Presidential Fellowship, and is past chairman for Leadership Florida. He also teaches a self-designed four-credit course at Harvard.
Mr. Haile earned his BS degree from Arizona State University and graduated from Columbia University School of Law in 2002. He is a fellow of the Vanderbilt University Higher Education Management Institute and received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Nova Southeastern University.
